I am feeling very inspired by Raw Food right now after attending a Raw Food Class Hosted by Carol Belmonte and Meghan Telpner at Belmonte Raw, on Queen Street East. On the Menu was Spiralled Zucchini made into Fettuccine-like noodles and layered with Raw Kale, Tomatoes, and Cauliflower and sauced with a Creamy Cashew Alfredo Like Sauce.. Who knew Raw could be so delicious?!! There was also an amazing Kelp Mango Salad, Gazpacho, Cauliflower Cous Cous, and a Mouth Watering Raw Brownie with a scoop of Chocolate Banana Soft Serve Ice Cream. Yum!! Since I was so Inspired I decided to make my own juice today! See Below: |
Juicing is so easy, even with my old school Panasonic 30 year old blender/ juicer! This Amazing Purple Juice was made from 1 Beet, 2 Stalks of Celery with the leaves, 2 Carrots, 2 Leaves of Swiss Chard, 1 piece of fresh Ginger, and 1 Lemon. It was very tasty and so colourful! Looking forward to many days of Juicing and trying new Raw Inspirations and sharing them with you! Juicing is such a great way to give your Digestive System a bit of a break, since it is constantly working very hard to break down and digest all of the food we eat. Please feel free to share your favourite Raw Foods and Juices! What other way could you get all of those FRESH, LIVE nutrients all in one glass? |
